Buddy Fite is one of those legendary players that most jazz guitar players have heard of, but never actually heard. For a number of reasons, some of which he discusses in an interesting interview, Buddy never garnered the fame that his talent deserves. All his records are out-of-print.

Buddy plays on a guitar with old scratchy overdriven pickups, a refreshing and appropriate sound for his swinging bluesy style – no modern syrupy musak here. A few cuts have his own rhythm guitar overdub.
