Metodo base per chiunque voglia avvicinarsi al mondo del rock dal punto di vista batteristico.  

Dedicato ai principianti (ma utile anche ai batteristi più avanzati) in questo libro si trovano i più famosi rock beats scomposti in semplici pattern da 8 e 16 note di facile esecuzione ed estrema chiarezza. Il libro inizia con due pagine dimostrative di come si dovrebbe eseguire il conteggio dei beat. Prosegue poi con degli esercizi sull’hi-hat e sul ride cymbal in ottavi da affiancare, una volta assimilati, a pattern più complessi.
Il primo capitolo introduce i beat basilari in quarti ed ottavi, mentre nel secondo capitolo si introduce la cassa in sedicesimi da eseguire insieme ai pattern previsti dal capitolo 3 al capitolo 9. In quest’ultimo vengono poi introdotte anche le ghost notes sul rullante.
Un metodo che incoraggia l’uso della famosa Moeller Technique e che, grazie all’ausilio di un utilissimo CD con brani Play-along in MP3, potrà aiutare molte generazioni di nuovi batteristi rock.
