Along with Ahmad Jamal’s "Chamber Music of the New Jazz", Bill Evans’ "Explorations" and Paul Bley’s "Footloose", the music on this particular Chick Corea recording has had an enourmous influence on the developing concepts of rhythm section playing in general, and on piano trio playing in particular.
